With all the churches finished, Monday was freed up for outreach. Two medical teams headed out into the community, one crew found two houses that needed fixing up and painted them, and Sarah and I spent the morning planning a VBS program. Oh, I cannot forget to mention our faithful kitchen crew who prepared lunch and food for the agape feast. What a blessing they were! In the afternoon, Sarah, Trista, our translator, Andrea, and I rode back out to Coaque and held a VBS program in the newly finished church. This program went even better than the one in Cojimies. We had more variety in our choice for supplies and the kids were enthusiastic about the craft and listened attentively to the stories we told. When we got back to Pedernales, we had free time to swim in the ocean, run to the Internet café, or get Pina Coladas. That evening, we all grabbed a handful of grocery bags filled with food, drink, a large table cloth, and towels and made our way down the beach to a quiet spot. Once there, we spread everything out and enjoyed tons of delicious bread, fruit, and crackers, and sandwhiches. Chelsy opened the floor up for testimonies. It was such a blessing to hear the ways God had worked in the lives of those involved in the trip, whether they realized it or not. During this special time, we also enjoyed singing and a slideshow of pictures. No one was ready to go to bed when we got back to the hotel. Knowing it was our last night together in Pedernales, we all stayed up until close to midnight. Some of us killed time talking, others played games, still others enjoyed one last Pina Colada. Finally, there was no more putting off sleep. We all separated for our last night in Hostal Stephani.
